Merbok river mouth at Tanjung Dawai revisited

Another article from last year's fasting month northern trip...


In the last northern trip article, Pulau (island of) Bunting at Yan, Kedah we have seen the island called Pulau Bunting. Now it's time to see (again) the Merbok river mouth at Tanjung Dawai.



As far as I could see this is the widest river mouth in the northern parts of Peninsular Malaysia's west coast so let's find a vantage point to have a good look.



First you have to pass through the small town of Tanjung Dawai.


The jetty there could provide the best vistas in town.
