The beach between Tanjung Tuan and Pantai Purnama

Close to sunset we went to a stretch of beach about 1.2 km or so south of the Teluk Kemang observatory.

I don't know what is it called. What I do know 1 km to the north lies Pantai Purnama (to the top right of this picture) as shown in the article The beach called Pantai Purnama at Port Dickson.

Views from Teluk Kemang observatory tower

Time to go up the observatory tower and take in the views...

There is an observation deck offering superb views of the surroundings...

The waters of Teluk Kemang observatory complex

In the evening I brought the wife to the observatory complex leaving our kids at the apartment.

Situated at a high ground besides the open waters of the Straits of Melaka it offers a panoramic view of the surroundings...

Pantai Purnama and surroundings from top floor of Cocobay condos

Me and family lodged at a place known as the Cocobay condos.

We actually rented a ground floor apartment but me being me, I have to check out the views from top floor.

Here, I'm looking at the stretch of beach known as Pantai Purnama.

It's just the views are somewhat blocked by heavy growth.

Looking towards the south the cape or stretch of outward land known as Tanjung Tuan came to view...

Looking at the surrounding buildings...

The beach called Pantai Purnama at Port Dickson

Peace be upon you all. Last weekend I brought the family for vacation at the resort beach area of Port Dickson, fondly known as PD, The name refers to a town and also the surrounding district. There are a few stories to be shared.

About 15 km south of PD town I just found out the existence of a stretch of beach known as Pantai Purnama.

That was also the first time I noticed the location of the observatory complex of Teluk Kemang. I've known about its existence for quite some time but never tried to find out the location. That's the white building seen in the background. Behind it lies the much much more popular beach of Teluk Kemang.

Looking at the waters of Pantai Purnama it does not seem to be as beautiful as that of Teluk Kemang.

Being not so popular it offers some solitude though.

To the south I can see a stretch of land which could be easily identified as the peninsular or cape known as Tanjung Tuan...
