On to colorful parts of old Ipoh

The walk was continued going through Ipoh old town at the city centre when we came across colourful murals such as these...

Then there's a street called the Concubine Lane...

Bustling with activities it is surely not short of colours...

Then there was this shop which has a unique staircase...

Inside are more colours to play with...

Kinta river from Jalan Sultan Idris bridge, Ipoh

Walking upstream about 500 metres from the previous bridge we came across another bridge but part of Jalan (road of) Sultan Idris...

A look downstream of the Kinta river.

Kinta river from Jalan Sultan Iskandar bridge, Ipoh

The following day, Sunday 5th October 2017 we went to Ipoh city centre and made a walk.

Arriving  at Jalan (road of) Sultan Iskandar I decided to check out a bridge.

It crosses the Kinta river.

Visiting Tasik Cermin in Gunung Rapat

On to some stories on Ipoh...

Last Saturday 4th November 2017. After spending a night at the state of Perak's royal town Kuala Kangsar, I brought the family to a fringe part of Ipoh.

We wanted to look for a lake called Tasik Cermin. It is situated within the limestone hills complex called Gunung Rapat...

To access the lake one must pass through a cave.

Actually it is more of a tunnel...

There, the secluded lake called Tasik Cermin...
