Monday morning 26th February 2018. Me and wife went to ISTAC (International Institute of Islamic Civilisation and Malay World) at Bukit Tunku, Kuala Lumpur for a public lecture.
Titled "The Malay World Within Islamic Civilisation : The Need For High Culture" it is held in conjuction of an exhibition with similar theme.
So items that reflect the higher thinking of the Malays were displayed.
This comes mainly in the form of manuscripts recording various forms of olden knowledge and wisdom...
Also displayed are traditional Malay weapons which have high philosphopy in terms of design, decoration and use.
We were then treated to lunch in hall that seems to befit kings.
Serenaded by soft music it was an interesting affair as some continued with intelectual talk over lunch...
