Along the new jetty at Tanjung Sepat

Here is something from last weekend...

Me and family went back to the wife's native village at Tanjung Sepat, Selangor. The local town has a new jetty and we decided to check it out.

The jetty replaced the old one which was part concrete part wooden.

It was almost sunset.

Walking towards the end...

Looking back to mainland...

The almost sunset scene was superb.

On to the end...

The furthest point on the jetty...

Brief visit to a jungle settlement in Jenagor

Peace be upon you all. Almost 2 weeks ago me and family made a trip to Terengganu and visited a number of places. Here's a story...

Among the places visited is Jenagor near Kuala Berang. It lies at an upriver part of the Terengganu river.

We wanted to visit a settlement in the jungle...

To get there we must go further up the Terengganu river and cross to the other side.

So we took a boat...

Soon we arrived at the jetty to the settlement...

It has a surau (praying hall) and some settlement huts.

But the main attraction is a tomb said to belong to Sharif Muhammad al-Baghdadi, an Islamic preacher said to have come from the Middle East 700 years ago...

After some time its time to return to the jetty where we came from.

My boys took the opportunity to dip into the Terengganu river...
