Another family visit to Victoria Bridge

Peace be upon you.  One more article on the trip to the north which now has been completed over two weeks ago. Continuing from Muslim graveyard besides the old Taiping mosque.

Tuesday 1st September 2020. After spending a night at a surau (praying house) at Kampung Temong, Kuala Kangsar me and family went to Kampung Seberang Karai to check out the Victoria Bridge.

For the record I have brought the family here once.

That was in mid-June less that 3 months before. Look at the article Bringing the family to Victoria Bridge

This time we have our eldest son in tow. This is his first time here...

So there we were walking through the whole length of the bridge on the small town of Karai.

We noticed at that end safety steel planks have been welded onto the 120-plus-year-old structure allowing anyone to stand and walk without fear of falling down.

This part and end is actually the official starting point for tourists.

We've started from the opposite end and thus have to walk back there...
