A stretch of road dubbed as the New Zealand of Malaysia

Continued from the article Taking a dip down the Muar river dam.

Late in the afternoon we took the Temiang-Pantai expressway off the city of Seremban.

Opened about a few a months ago it went viral because of a stretch that is said to give views like that in New Zealand countryside...

Taking a dip down the Muar river dam

Continued from the article Muar river dam in Kuala Pilah.

Looking at the actual part where the Muar river is dammed...

See how the water flows down from the reservoir...

Time to check the waters down there...

Ah. Such a nice place to take a dip down with the family and a friend...

Muar river dam in Kuala Pilah

Continued from the article Muar river around the mosque of Ranjau Hantu.

Next we took a rural road leading deep into a hilly part of the Kuala Pilah district where lies the Muar river dam.

Officially it is called the Talang dam at is located near the Talang village.

But the name Talang actually refers to a nearby river, a subsidiary of the Muar river.

While the reservoir is actually formed because the Muar river is dammed...

Muar river around the mosque of Ranjau Hantu

Peace be upon you all. More things to be shared from the trip to Negeri Sembilan last weekend.

Early Sunday morning 27th March 2022. After spending the night at this mosque in a place called Ranjau Hantu I went around to take pictures.

The mosque is situated near the Muar river.

So I took pictures of the river from a number of nearby locations, and from a number of angles...

Actually the river bends closest to the north compound of the mosque...

The mosque is practically flanked by the Muar river from all sides except the south...

A grand Chinese temple near Kuala Pilah

Continuing from  New visit to Pengkalan Kempas water front.

We left Kuala Kempas after 8 pm and took a road crossing part of the mountain range of Banjaran Titiwangsa to Inas before heading towards the town of Kuala Pilah. About 10 km or so before town we saw this grand-looking Chinese temple.

We decided to stop by and have a closer look...

It looks like a new tourist attraction...

New visit to Pengkalan Kempas water front

Peace be upon you all. Last weekend me and family went for a trip in Negeri Sembilan. So there are things to be shared starting with this...

Saturday afternoon 26th March 2022. After visiting a number of places near the small town of Linggi we went to the smaller town of Pengkalan Kempas where lies this water front.

There is a signboard which says this is where the ancestors of the Chinese landed, probably more than two centuries ago.

The water front is situated besides the Linggi river.

It is known to be the main waterway to get directly to the state of Negeri Sembilan especially to Linggi, Seremban (used to be known as Sungei Ujong) and Rembau.
