The stretch of beach just before TLDM Lumut at dusk

Continuing from Latest visit to the beach of Teluk Batik.

Arriving in Lumut almost at dusk I then went to a nearby small stretch of beach.

It is situated just about 250 metres to east of the main gate of the TLDM (Malaysian Navy) naval base.

To the west you can see parts of the naval base.

Latest visit to the beach of Teluk Batik

Continuing from The bridge close to Slim river mouth.

From Kuala Slim I went to the Besout plantation settlements before heading to the resort town of Lumut. Before town I took some diversions, among it to this famous beach area about 10 km to the south-west of Lumut.

It is called Teluk Batik.

From here you can see the southern parts of the famous resort island of Pulau Pangkor...

Then again Teluk Batik is already attractive enough on its own.

One could say it is the most visited and well-known beach in the whole of mainland Perak.

The bridge close to Slim river mouth

Continuing from Bridge to Besout.

Next I went to the very small town of Kuala Slim. Less than a kilometre to the east I came across this bridge.

It crosses the river called Slim, the river which gives the name to the much bigger and well-known town of Slim River.

Kuala Slim simply means the mouth of the Slim river. This means the mouth where the water flows into the Bernam river is not far from here. I came across this bridge while looking for that mouth. A look in Google Map shows it is only about 850 metres south of this bridge. It's just too bad there I could not find any accessible path leading to that place.

Bridge to Besout

Peace be upon you all.  Once again I went to Perak for a number of businesses. Thus let some stories be shared beginning with this.

The latest trip was started Monday morning 22nd August 2022 by taking the Bukit Tagar to Sungai Tengi route then entering the state of Perak via Kuala Slim. About a few kilometres before Kuala Slim caught sight of this signboard.

It points to the group of plantations and settlements under the Besout name in Perak.

However it has been closed for some time to a huge damage severing connection to the other side.

The bridge crosses the Bernam river which is the natural border between the states of Selangor and Perak.

It not for the damage I would have taken my car across and continued on to Besout via this bridge. For the record this is the 2,222th article in this blogspot.
