A very brief visit to Bonda Valley

Continuing from A visit to Sungai Kedondong.

Further towards Batang Kali I saw a road leading to place called Bonda Valley and this river.

Bonda Valley is a private resort of sorts and this river is connected to the one at Sungai Kedondong...

A visit to Sungai Kedondong

Continuing from The reservoir a bit down from Genting Highlands.

From Genting Highlands I took the road to Batang Kali. Upon arriving at a place called Sungai Kedondong I stopped at a small restaurant for a meal. Only after that did I decided to check the place itself.

Actually Sungai Kedondong is marked as a resort area. There is a river a small distance behind the restaurant.

Later only did I found out there is another part of the river close by which could be easily accessed by cars...

The reservoir a bit down from Genting Highlands

Continuing from A brief clear view down from Genting Highlands.

As I started to leave Genting Highlands I caught sight of a lake down towards the horizon.

A check with Google Map shows it be a quite new reservoir. So I decided to take the road there...

A brief clear view down from Genting Highlands

Continuing from On to the summit (or summits) of Gunung Ulu Kali.

Returning to my car I headed back to Genting Highlands and found an opening view out from the fog.

This was after 4.30 pm.

It was the first time since arriving before 1.30 that I got the see a wide enough vista worthy of being up in the mountains...

On to the summit (or summits) of Gunung Ulu Kali

Continuing from Looking for the summit of Gunung Ulu Kali.

Actually I learned from the people at the radar station at the end of the small road that the highest point of Gunung (mount of) Ulu Kali lies near a Chinese shrine by the roadside.

I remember seeing it on the way to the end of the road. But missed it on the other way around and so had to turn around again before catching sight of it.

After surveying the surroundings I caught sight of the jungle path leading to the way up.

So there I was doing an unscheduled mountain climb through this mossy forest.

Soon I arrived at this part...

Pressing on I then arrived at what seems to be the summit of Gunung Ulu Kali.

But is this the actual highest point? I can't know for sure without venturing further into the jungle.

While the following path leads downwards it went up again to another summit.

Still I pressed on to arrive at another summit...

The trekking was continued to  make sure if there is another summit.

After finding out the path  could only lead to lower levels only that I turned back. But still without knowing for sure which is the actual highest summit.
