Looking for the old Dutch fort of 1748 part 2

Continuing from Looking for the old Dutch fort of 1748.

I decided to try another way to get to the designated spot...

So there I was walking up this path...

It brings to a raised path close to the Perak river...

I followed the raised path towards the designated spot as could be seen in Google Map...

Checking out first this part close to the Perak river...

Back towards the designated spot...

This was as close as I could get without endangering myself...

The old Dutch fort or whatever remained of it should be about 60 metres towards the centre of the picture...

Looking for the old Dutch fort of 1748

On to the 3rd and last day of the Perak trip.

Thursday morning 3rd November 2022. After spending the night at the mosque of Sungai Jejawi in Teluk Intan I went into a plantation area to look for the remains of a historical building.

I was looking for an old Dutch fort which was built and completed in the year 1748.

According to Google Map I could go straight for another 100 metres by car  on a particular rough road and then walk to reach it. But in reality there is a ditch blocking the way.

Luckily I found another way to get to the designated spot...

According to Google Map the location of the Dutch fort should be somewhere behind this temple...

So I walked on towards the designated spot...

Soon I found the way blocked again by another ditch...
