Foray to Pos Yum

Continuing from Lata Penyel proper.

After spending some time at Lata Penyel I went a further 4 km to the east to get to the Orang Asli settlement of Pos Yum.

Like many Orang Asli settlements in Malaysia today,  it has a mixture of modern and traditional houses...

Lata Penyel proper

Continuing from Trekking to Lata Penyel.

Back to the traditional Orang Asli huts...

It blends well with the waterfall called Lata Penyel.

The waterfall itself  is quite an outstanding sight to behold.

Trekking to Lata Penyel

Continuing from Kuala Mu proper.

Returning back to the junction after Pos Legap I then took the road eastwards to get to this place.

It is the starting point to get to the waterfall called Lata Penyel.

From here one could trek or hike for about 10 minutes to get to the waterfall.

The waterfall is just behind the recreational traditional Orang Asli huts...

Kuala Mu proper

Continuing from Enter Kuala Mu.

Next I went further south about 2 km to get to the proper Kuala Mu...

By "proper" I mean the actual settlement that is named Kuala Mu.

The part shown in Enter Kuala Mu is not the actual residence of the populace. It is more for tourist and outsiders.

And here, looking to the south and to the left of this picture you could the mouth of river which I surmised gave the name Kuala Mu (meaning mouth of river Mu).

Looking downriver. For the record this is the 2,455th article in this blogspot.
