The rapids near the junction to Janda Baik

Continuing from Karak highway from vantage points near Genting Sempah.

Next, I stopped at this part of the old trunk road just before the junction to Janda Baik.

This part suffered from a big landslide and water outpouring from the mountains after heavy rains about 2 years ago. This blocked the nearby portion of the trunk road while heavy muddy waters went on to flood the lower situated town of Bukit Tinggi.

So reinforcements were built to mitigate the situation.

I have passed this area many times but only recently realised there are rapids around here.

For information this is the 2,848th article in this blogspot.

Karak highway from vantage points near Genting Sempah

Continuing from Small waterfall at 18th mile of Jalan Gombak.

Further up the trunk road to Janda Baik I stopped to get to a vantage point.

It gives good views of the surrounding mountains that form the range called Banjaran Titiwangsa...

You can also get good views of the Karak highway...

This is from a lower vantage point.

The point is near this utility lines tower.

While the previous vantage point is from this higher utility line tower.

Small waterfall at 18th mile of Jalan Gombak

Peace be upon you. Just a few things to be shared.

Sunday 31st March 2024 I took the old trunk road to Janda Baik from Kuala  Lumpur and stopped at this place.

The locals mark it as at the 18th mile of Jalan Gombak.

A number of shrines have been built around.

But I was only interested in taking a shower at its small waterfall.
