Limestone lake of Malim Nawar

Peace be upon you. Continuing on the places visited in the recent Perak trip

Tuesday 9th July 2024 after a certain business in Ipoh was settled we headed to Kampar then Malim Nawar where lies this lake.

What is interesting is the formation of blocks of limestones protruding out from the surface of the lake...

Across the Parit bridge

Continuing from Views from Kampung Semat old mosque.

Next we went to the small town of Parit where lies this bridge across the Perak river.

It is for motorcyclists, cyclists and the pedestrian.

From the bridge one could get to this island in the middle of the Perak river.

It also connects to the western banks of the river...

If not for this bridge the people across must take another bridge more than 4 km up north.

This bridge saves a distance of more than 8 km to get to Parit. Back forth it saves a total of around 17 km.

Views from Kampung Semat old mosque

Continuing from Perak river from different spots at the Kangsar jetty.

Later we went to Kampung Semat, about 27 km from Kuala Kangsar, and stopped by its old mosque.

Like Kuala Kangsar the village and mosque is also situated besides the Perak river.

Up to the mosque's tower.

Views from up there...

Perak river from different spots at the Kangsar jetty

Continuing from Pedestrian bridge at the real Kuala Kangsar.

Next we went to the main jetty of Kuala Kangsar.

Taking in the views of the Perak river from different angles and spots there...

Pedestrian bridge at the real Kuala Kangsar

Peace be upon you. More from the recent Perak trip.

Monday afternoon 8th July 2024. Me and son went to this place in Kuala Kangsar.

There is this pedestrian bridge.

It crosses the Kangsar river.

The river mouth, the Kuala (mouth of) Kangsar. This is how the town of Kuala Kangsar got its name.

The Kangsar river pours into the Perak river. You can say these parts are the real Kuala Kangsar.
