Taking the ferry across Songkhla lake from Kao Deng

Continuing from Songkhla lake from a pier south of Kao Deng.

Near the northern part of hills called Kao Deng lies the jetty for taking ferries across the Songkhla lake.

Thank God we did not have to wait long to get on the ferry...

It is a convenient way to get to Songkhla city across this part of the Songkhla lake.

Otherwise one have to drive far behind this hills and take the bridges across the much wider part of the lake via the island called Ko Yo,

Continuing from Views from Samnaksong Khao Kuti.

Some time after leaving the island called Ko Yo we went around the hills called Kao Deng where lies this pier at the south.

Across is Songkhla city.

Around is the eastern part of Songkhla lake, closest to the sea that is the Gulf of Siam...

Views from Samnaksong Khao Kuti

Continuing from Ko Yo island and surrounding from a vantage point uphill.

At the highest peak of Ko Yo lies this temple.

Known as  Samnaksong Khao Kuti there are some nice views from up there...

It is just the views tend to be blocked by growths...

Continuing from Songkhla lake from across Wat Thai Yo.

Next we took a road going uphill to the highest peak at Ko Yo and found a vantage point.

From here you can have a good look at  a huge part of the island and the Songkhla lake...

Continuing from First look of Songkhla lake after leaving Hatyai.

Soon we reached the bridge crossing Songkhla lake on to the island called Ko Yo.

Upon arriving on the island we took a road which practically circled it but stopped only at certain parts to have a good look at the lake.
