Checking out the Klang river from Shah Alam's Seksyen 18

Continuing from Checking out earthwork progress at Kampung Sungai Buaya.

Tuesday morning 27th Mei 2025. I have accompanied the wife for a work matter in Seksyen 18, Shah Alam. That is when I found out via Google Map there are parts of that area very near to the Klang river. So I went looking for it...

The views in this particular part are blocked by growth.

Checking out another part nearby, still in Seksyen 18.

Now I am satisfied enough...

Checking out earthwork progress at Kampung Sungai Buaya

Continuing from Views from a water tower at Bukit Sentosa.

Late afternoon Monday 26th May 2025. I felt like checking out the earthwork progress for an industrial project at Kampung Sungai Buaya just about 4-5 km from my house.

The last time I checked these parts was about 2-3 months ago.

At that time this dirt road was cleared up the bend in front, if I remember correctly.

Now it has gone much further and deeper through the surrounding plantations and jungle.

Oh. I took my small bike  further up until these parts where the path is blocked by felled trees.

I continued on by foot...

From here there is a small plantation route leading to Bukit Beruntung.

The earthworks might later connect to that township.

Continuing from Checking out the flea market at Amcorp Mall.

Later in the afternoon we stopped by at a workshop in Rawang where I took my trusty old big bike out after a certain repair. After accompanying her to have some work done for our car at an accessories shop I took off to an industrial project area under construction in Bukit Sentosa.

I have been eyeing these water towers since about a week or two.

I can't resist going up, just waiting for the right time to do so.

Views from on top...

Earlier I wanted to go up the other water tower.

But I changed my mind after finding out the safety railings have not been installed.

More views around...

Checking out the flea market at Amcorp Mall

Continuing from Views from the actual Bukit Gasing.

After Bukit Gasing we went to Amcorp Mall in Petaling Jaya.

It has been many years since we last stepped out.

We wanted to check out the flea market which is open at all its floors, Friday till Sunday...

Views from the actual Bukit Gasing

Continuing from Climbing up the hills at Bukit Gasing.

Next we went up to the actual Bukit Gasing by car.

The peak which at above 160 metres from sea level is the highest within a few kilometre radius is accessible by car because there is a transmission tower and a temple at the peak.

You can get some superb views from the peak...

See that hill in the middle of this picture?

That is to the north. The peak at 135 metres above sea level is the one we climbed earlier as mentioned in Climbing up the hills at Bukit Gasing.

The city of Kuala Lumpur skyline...

Walking back southwards to the car and views of the city of Petaling Jaya...
