Checking out a new road being built near Perodua

Continuing from Three peaks in Bukit Damansara and one at Bukit Bandaraya.

Yesterday afternoon Tuesday 23rd  September 2025 after sending the wife to fetch our car out from a nearby garage I checked out a new road being built near the Perodua car factory.

Parking the big bike I headed for the top of a hill which got split because of the road.

Views around as I approached the top...

From up here it seems the road is aligned for future connection to the Sungai Buaya toll entry on to the North-South Highway.

Sunday after 21 September 2025 went to an aunty's house in Bukit Damansara (Damansara Heights). Saw this pylon ahead felt like checking it out.

Since the aunt and family moved to this hilly area in the early 80s I have visited them many many times. But this is the first time I went to this part of Bukit Damansara.

A check with Google Earth shows the peak here is 138 metres above sea level.

Next I went to another peak of Bukit Damansara.

I have been to this peak a few times...

There are many bungalows leading to the peak which is situated 112 metres above sea level. For comparison my aunt's house about a kilometre away is situated just 6 metres lower. Then again her house is among the highest at her area...

On to the what should be the highest peak in Bukit Damansara.

This is 152 metres above sea level.

I also have been here a number of times.

Lastly went to the highest part of the hill called Bukit Bandaraya...

At 148 metres above sea level it is also the highest part in the whole of Bangsar.

Taking ECRL route from Sungai Buaya to Batu Arang

Continuing from Climbing a certain hill near Sungai Buaya via ECRL project route - Part II.

Friday afternoon 19th September 2025 I went againt to the ECRL project route, this time bring the wife on big bike.

I wanted to show her inside and across the tunnels. There are two here and I have ventured inside both about a month earlier by small bike.

After the second tunnel the wife urged me to go on.

So there we where going further and further east via the route which includes platforms that would be laid with rail tracks.

Stopping for pictures...

Continuing further west.

We got out at an exit near the small town of Batu Arang. Then we had tea.

Continuing from Climbing a certain hill near Sungai Buaya via ECRL project route.

View of the intended peak from the lower one...

Still have to go through bushes and thick undergrowth...

Then have to struggle up some steep cliff faces...

After failing to get up two different cliff faces I finally found a more manageable cliff face and got up to this level.

When I arrived at the peak it was already dusk.

Starting the climb down in the dark luckily I managed to find a much more manageable path by referring to satellite pictures in Google Map. The leads to the opening of the ECRL tunnel at a west slope of the hill. My bike was parked after the east mouth.
