Masjidil Haram from a terrace restaurant at the Mecca clock tower

Continuing from Visit to Wadi D'Fajr.

Later at night, after conducting our 2nd umrah and spending time inside the Masjidil Haram me and wife went to the Mecca clock tower.

On to the terrace restaurant on the 11th floor.

Visit to Wadi D'Fajr

Peace be upon you. On to the 6th day of the umrah trip.

Saturday morning 14th February 2026. We went to Hudaibiyah and visited this place.

Called Wadi D'Fajr it is a small ranch operated by Malaysians.

For outsiders the main attractions are the camels.

They also have a cafe featuring Malaysian food but with a mix of camel meat available.

Back to the animals...

Camels are indeed  fascinating creatures.

Climbing Jabal Nur with family

Continuing from Passing through Mina 2026.

Later in the evening me and family, plus a cousin and an auntie took a van to get to the hill or mountain called Jabal Nur.

We wanted to climb to its summit to get to a cave called Jabal Nur.

I have climbed once alone in 2005, then with wife in 2013. Look at the old article Climbing up Jabal Nur in the dark.

Now it is more special as we have our four kids along with the said cousin and auntie.

The starting point is also different. We have to start from a lower place up a farther new gradual path.

This makes the climb not as steep as before.

It is only after a certain point that the old steep path features.

Congratulation to my auntie who made it to top at the age of 76.

Passing through Mina 2026

Continuing from Jabal Rahmah 2026.

Next we passed through the area called Mina.

It is where hajj pilgrims must spend a night as part of the hajj, major pilgrimage process.
