A visit to Gua (cave of) Kota Gelanggi - the way in...

Peace be upon you all. In my last posting titled Kuala Tembeling, the doorway to Taman Negara... I talked about paying a visit to the National Park's doorway, on the way to Jengka to attend a wedding ceremony along with the wife. After Kuala Tembeling, we stopped at Jerantut followed by Pulau Tawar where lies the tomb of a famous Malay warrior. Have a look at the article Makam (tomb of) Mat Kilau... in the blogspot SENI LAMA MELAYU (MALAY OLDEN ART) . Close to Jengka, we saw a certain limestone hill which is quite famous for its caves. But it is only the next day we managed to have a look at what's inside.

The is the limestone hill seen on Saturday morning...

Famous for its caves, it is known as Gua (cave) of Kota Gelanggi...

Like on Friday the previous day, we had problems finding the way in...

Apparently we missed this junction and took the wrong one just 200 metres ahead.

Never mind that, at last we arrived here at this parking lot...

Then it's time to go in... via a walking path.

Here's a bit of information on the caves...

Here's the walking path...

It leads to this building which houses a restaurant and a small museum...

Then on to a stony path leading to the caves. To be continued...
