A brother-in-law's wedding function

OK. It seems there's more January stories to be presented. Don't worry. Today is the last day of the month anyway. So there's only so much January stories before we move on...

On Saturday night me and family went to the wife's native village at Tanjung Sepat. The next day yesterday we joined her brothers, sisters and their families to converge at a mosque in Banting...


We're there to get ready to send my wife's younger brother for his wedding function.



Guess which one is he... no prizes for guessing right. At this juncture we're already near the house.


But it was drizzling quite bad and we have to get across.



Suffice to say we just pressed on with only a few covered by umbrellas. We came unprepared for the rain...




Well, I guess that got many smiling...





The groom joined by the bride.






We immediately went inside the house.







The newly-weds have to sit on the pedestal first. Oh, actually they have officially tied the knot some 4 months ago but this would make the whole thing complete as it is customary to have a proper wedding reception as soon as possible after the solemnisation.



The customary feast. For the record I have to be the bestman. I was compelled as there was no one else to play the job. So there...
