The views from Langkawi's Dataran Lang

OK. I think we should continue the stories on a certain trip made 7-12 Dec 2012. Continuing from the article The waters just outside the Perlis river mouth made 15 days ago.


And so we have arrived at the resort island of Langkawi. The following day, Monday 10th Dec we started making our round by visiting a place called Dataran Lang.



The word Dataran could be translated as a square while Lang is a short form for the word Helang, Malay for eagle. Legend has it that the island of Langkawi was inhabited by a giant eagle. So this place is a major landmark to show that one has visited Langkawi.


Situated at a water-front you can get nice views from here. So let's just sit and enjoy...
