Kuantan river mouth from Tanjung Api

Continued from Enjoying the waters of Cherating.

Reaching the town of Kuantan after dusk I immediately headed for a place called Tanjung Api.

It is situated besides the Kuantan river. I have long wanted to take views from here.

In fact Tanjung Api is situated at the northern bank of the river mouth.

Here's a look upriver. The colours in the background came from town.

A look across.

A look towards the sea.

I believe the sand tip here marks the actual place where the river meets the sea.

Enjoying the waters of Cherating

Continued from River Kemaman from the bridge out of Chukai town.

Soon I arrived at the beach of Cherating.

Situated in the state of Pahang, it is perhaps the state's most popular beach.

From Chukai I headed further south towards Kuantan. That's when I passed a bridge across the Kemaman river and decided to turn back a small distance to take pictures.

Continued from Terengganu river from the main bridge of Kuala Terengganu.

Thursday, 28th February 2013. From Kuala Terengganu I headed further south to Kemaman and stopped at the town of Chukai. The town is located quite close to the Kemaman river mouth. So the river is wide around here.
