Queuing for a best serving of Nasi Kandar

Continued from The view at Gurney Drive.

Later at night we stopped by at a food stall besides the mosque of Kapitan Keling.

It is famously known as Nasi Kandar Beratur. People would queue up (beratur) just to enjoy the special rice meal which is Nasi Kandar, a Pulau Pinang speciality.

The stall opens at 10 pm every night. But people including me started to wait as early as 9.30.

It was quite a sight looking at the stall finally opening after the long wait. You see the same place is operated by a different Nasi Kandar trader. Yet the 10pm trader is known to offer a much tastier meal, hence people's willingness to wait and stand in a long queue.

There, we finally got our share. Arguably it is the best Nasi Kandar in Pulau Pinang.
