At Kuala Linggi with college old friends

Something from a few days ago.

Last Friday 31st October me and some old friends from college days went to Batu Pahat to see another friend who was getting remarried. We used to stay at the same room while in college 26 years ago. After Putrajaya we decided to take the coastal route and made some stops, among it at the scenic place called Kuala Linggi.

This is at the mouth of the river Linggi, the natural boundary between the states of Melaka and Negeri Sembilan. Kuala Linggi refers to the area within Melaka.

Close by lies a hill called Bukit Supai.

There are remains of an old 17th-18th century fort here...

As I understand it, it was used by the Bugis people before the Dutch acquired it from them.

At one corner lies and old tomb I don't know belonging to whom...
