Going further upriver from the bridge we noticed something of interest...
People fishing is one thing...
We noticed another river flowing into the Bernam river...
The Bernam is the main one as it reaches the open waters of the Straits of Melaka forming the natural border between the states of Perak and Selangor.
Across from here is the state of Selangor. The river flowing into the Bernam is in that state.
A further look upriver shows the existence of a
bridge. If not mistaken that's part of the North-South Highway or PLUS.
A look downriver. That is the old bridge leading to the town of Tanjung Malim. That is the one shown in the article Taking in the Bernam river at the bridge to Tanjung Malim town.
