The sea off a resort hotel in Mempawah

Peace be upon you all. In the article Flight to Pontianak made 5 days ago I've said this :-

Pleased to inform everyone that I am currently on a trip visiting places in the Indonesian province of Kalimantan Barat (West Kalimantan). I've just completed the 2nd day of trip and is currently resting in a hotel at the town of Sambas, about 2 hours drive to the west of the Malaysian border at the state of Sarawak.

Well. that was then. On that same day I've managed to share stories on places visited in the 1st day of the trip and that was it. On Friday afternoon I've returned to Malaysia. Tonight I want to start sharing stories on places visited on the 2nd day...

Tuesday morning 9th June 2015. After spending the night at a resort hotel in Mempawah me and friend decided to check out the surrounding.

The hotel is situated besides the sea.

It has a jetty facing an island.

Looking around from right to left...

Looking back towards the hotel. Being a small town Mempawah has'nt got many hotel. This one, a few kilometres north of town was the only available one...
