Making sense of first attempt to get to the tomb of Sultan Iskandar Zulkarnain



Retracing my steps, I soon found the right entry point.



The route passes through a private palm oil plantation.






Ah. The tomb already in view.



However just before the lawn of the tomb I caught sight of this pathway and decided to check it out.



It leads to the Kinta river. I then caught site of the nearest jetty.


I could also see a tarred road which should lead to the tomb.

A look across...


A look downriver. The Kinta river flows into the Perak river about 100-200 metres from here.



As I looked around the surrounding area began to look familiar. Yes, I have been to this point by boat before looking for the tomb of the 15th Sultan. It's just the growth was so thick then but there are parts of land which are recognisable upon inspection.
