On to the hanging pedestrian bridge of Temerloh

Time to get the pedestrian bridge from this side...

Views from the tower.

On to the bridge...

Views around as I walked across. The Pahang river...

Semantan river...

End of the bridge... entering Tanjung Keramat. But the door was locked remember? Refer to The tower at Tanjung Keramat.

Walking back to the Temerloh side...

Pahang river from Temerloh jetty

Continuing from The tower at Tanjung Keramat.

Later in the afternoon we went to the town of Temerloh. At a recreation site besides the Pahang river lies this jetty complex.

Walking to the upper part of the jetty.

To our left, heading northwards that is, one could see the pedestrian bridge crossing the smaller Semantan river.

A look down the Pahang river...

A look across...

A look upriver.

Again, the pedestrian bridge...

The tower at Tanjung Keramat

To get to the pedestrian bridge one must climb up this tower.

And so I went up.

Looking at the Semantan river from the tower's west side, turning slowly anti-clockwise...

The point where the Semantan river merges into the mightier Pahang river.

Too bad the door into the pedestrian bridge is locked.

Nevermind, let's just enjoy the views around...

Stopping by Tanjung Keramat, Temerloh

Going further south down the rural road one will reach a dead end.

It lies about 430 metres south of the junction to the town of Temerloh. From here one could clearly see the giants signboard spelling the name Temerloh.

For the record Temerloh is both the name of the nearby town and surrounding district.

The area where the dead end lies is called Tanjung Keramat.

It is situated at the north of the mouth of the Semantan river. The river flows into the bigger Pahang river.

Across the Semantan river lies the town of Temerloh.

However, access from here is limited to a pedestrian bridge crossing the Semantan river. To get to Temerloh by car you have to take a junction which leads to a motorist bridge about 660 metres inland...

Sungai Pahang from a village north-east of Temerloh

Something from 8 days ago.

Friday 8th May 2013, on the way to Chenor in the state of Pahang to conduct a function me and family took a rural road to Temerloh. The road south of the Temerloh exit of the Lebuh Raya Pantai Timur (East Coast highway) runs along the Pahang river. At a village 1-2 km or so north of Temerloh town I stopped the car to take pictures.

A look downriver.

A look across.

A look upriver.
