Checking the condition of Sungai Jelai at Kuala Lipis

After settling down at the old mosque nearby I decided to take a walk around the old town. The town is situated besides Sungai (river of) Jelai. Time to check out its condition.

A look downstream.

A look across.

Going down.

Here I begin to notice the effects of the extreme dry season which has hit many parts of Malaysia the last 2-3 months.

I noticed the water is not so full like at Kuala Medang. Look at Checking the condition of Sungai Jelai at Kuala Medang.

See the white looking parts at the banks? Normally it should be submerged...

The river seen from outside the old mosque. If I remember correctly the sands and marshes down there should be under water in normal condition...
