Exhibition on Langkasuka heritage at UPM

Detouring out of the places visited around Linggi. On to a recent visit to UPM, Universiti Putra Malaysia in Serdang.

Last Saturday, 2nd October 2016 me and wife went to UPM to attend a festival on keris, the Malay special weapon.

A number of sub-functions were held along with it. One is an exhibition on the heritage of Langkasuka.

Langkasuka refers to an ancient Malay state. Nowadays people tend to relate it with Pattani. a state north of Kelantan which is now part of Thailand.

The exhibition is about motifs in arts, woodcarving and such which reflected the heritage of Langkasuka.

Then again modern interpretations are given on the matter...
