Peace be upon you all. On to the 6th day of the Cambodia-Thailand trip 22 November-3 December 2018.
Tuesday morning 27th November 2018. After arriving late evening in Phnom Penh the previous day its time to have a good look at the city.
From our guest house in a busy tourist district we walked east to the waterfront...
It faces the wide Tonle Sap river.
The river originates from the mighty Tonle Sap lake some distance away to the north-west.
Here at Phnom Penh it meets the bigger and much much longer Mekong river.
The meeting place or the Tonle Sap river estuary lies at end of the tip of land seen in the middle of this picture...
Behind that is the Mekong river.
