Peace be upon you all. On to the following day of the recent south Thailand trip, the 8th overall day after starting off from home Monday night 16th December 2019.
Monday morning 23rd December 2019 we went to Platform 2 of Hatyai railway station.
After spending another night at Hatyai (we have spent a night there 5 days before) it's time to leave for another location.
Our designated train arrived almost an hour late of schedule.
Never mind that. As long as we get to go where we want within reasonable time...
We took 3rd class tickets with no designated seats but managed to find a comfortable coach...
As we made stops at some stations we came across northbound trains...
Oh. Ours was a southbound train heading towards the east coast of south Thailand.
The train goes all the way to Sungai Kolok near the Malaysian border but we got off at Yala, about halfway between Hatyai and Sungai Kolok.
