The bridge at Seri Keladang

Continuing from The bridge near Kuala Slim.

Further south down the road I saw this bridge.

Google Map says it is the bridge of Seri Keladang.

Like the bridge of Kuala Slim it also crosses the natural state border that is the Bernam river.

Except it does not actually lie on the route to home. I just crossed for the heck of it...

The bridge near Kuala Slim

Continuing from The vantage viewing point at Gunung Besout.

Next I arrived at the small town of Kuala Slim and took a right turn leading to the Perak-Selangor state border.

There is a bridge crossing the Bernam river which is the natural state border...

The vantage viewing point at Gunung Besout

Continuing from To the small waterfall of Gunung Besout.

After spending some time dipping in the pools I left Felda Gunung Besout at around 12.30 and headed to Slim River using this relatively new road.

Soon I caught side of this vantage viewing point...

I had earlier seen it on Youtube...

It gives what could be the best views of the surroundings within a 10 km radius...

Seen here is the small mountain system called Gunung Besout.

I use the term small  mountain because it is only 1,300-1,400 feet tall from sea level. But the fact is it covers a wide area making the system rather extensive...

Luckily my car can be driven to the top of this vantage point. Otherwise I have to walk and climb a bit...

To the small waterfall of Gunung Besout

Continuing from Exploring the grounds that used to have the big house of Batak Rabit.

I left Batak Rabit and consquently Teluk Intan around 9.10 in the morning. Heading home southwards using a route  never taken before I arrived at the agricultural settlement of Felda Gunung Besout around 10.35 before taking a rough gravel road.

I wanted to trek to a small waterfall that I found out exists throught the Internet. A bridge had collapsed and I had to leave the car after less than a kilometre taking the gravel road.

Otherwise I could have driven the car further into the plantations and jungle...

So there I was walking deeper and deeper while ascended up the hills that forms the small mountain system that is Gunung Besout.

Soon I arrived at this river.

There are a few pools and small waterfalls...

Exploring the grounds that used to have the big house of Batak Rabit

Continuing from Early morning views from a jetty a Batak Rabit.

Later in the morning I went to this area about 200 metres to the east of the jetty.

It is part of a land inherited by my relatives.

I was told this particular piece of land used to be the location of the family big house.

Some 150 years ago the 26th Sultan of Perak, Sultan Abdullah used to live inside the area. It could be in the same big family house, it could be in a palace of his own.

What is clear is he did lived within the same area.

In fact, the said family house could also be the Sultan's palace...
