Continuing from Lake Songkhla from Wat Pa Khat.
Next we went to the oldest part of Songkhla city where lies this staircase.
It leads to the remains of what is marked as "fort number 8".
There are a number of such forts around here up to the top of a hill over 140 metres above sea level.
It is part of the old walled Malay kingdom city of Singgora built almost 400 years ago.
