Esplanade north of Muar town

 OK. Practically continuing from Taking the kids to Zoo Negara.

After spending time at the zoo we took the son who studied in Janda Baik along with his friend to the friend's house in Cheras where he spent a night. The following night, Monday 18th December 2023 we fetched him and went to my parents house in Muar. Two days later, Wednesday 22nd December we went out to explore the town, my hometown and its surroundings and stopped at this place.

 

This is the esplanade north of Muar town.

Previously it used to be filled with mangrove trees.

And previously it used to be part of Muar town. But sometime in the year 2000 or so the district of Muar was divided into two districts, the parts north of the river here, the Muar river becoming the district of Tangkak.

These parts which used to be mangrove swamp was opened up later.

As far as I could remember the esplanade itself was opened about 5 years along with this garden of sorts...
