New attempt at Bukit Singa

OK. Time to share stories from a recent trip to Perak.

Saturday 19th October 2024. After a meeting in Ipoh I headed to Sungai Siput where lies this hill  known as Bukit Singa or the Lion Hill.

I have climbed it once before in 2017. I wanted to make a new attempt.

In the old attempt one could see the ways around clearly because the trees where not so tall and the growth not so thick. Look at these old articles :

This time it is hard to recognise the paths.

What I did was simply going up and up on towards what I discerned as the direction to the summit.

Last time I went only up to this point before turning back towards the foothill because it was about to rain. Besides these parts which is already close to the summit are too steep.

It was only recently that I learned there is a safe way going up if one could find the right path.

This seemed to be the path.
