Climbing up Bukit Mertajam - Part I

Continuing from Attractions at Jerai resort.

Later in the afternoon I went to Bukit Mertajam to climb the actual hill that gave rise to that name.

Previously many years ago I have only went up to this point. To wade at the rapids to the right.

I have been eyeing the hill for a climb to its summit since many years earlier.

But it was only in this trip that I found the time and opportunity to make it come true.

There are a number of jungle paths to get on top.

But for this first climb let me just stick to the concrete road which leads to the telecommunication towers at the summit.
