Continuing from Views from a vantage point near Padang Tok Sheikh.
Soon it's time to return to the car.
But instead of driving it I decided to go further up Gunung Jerai by foot.
However the area up afterwards is actually off limits to civilians.
Yet I continued up as I want to get as close to the highest summit (Gunung Jerai has a number of summits) as possible.
There is a military camp guarding some telecommunications facilities. Only staff are allowed up besides the military.
This is just above 20+ metres below the highest summit which is 1,217 metres above sea level...
