The train station of Pulau Sebang

In conjunction with a new series on train travel to be started in the blogspot CATATAN SI MERAH SILU I will feature a number of train stations here starting with this...

This is the Pulau Sebang station in Melaka...

It is also known as the Tampin station as it serves the town of Tampin situated just about 1 km from here.

Actually the town of Tampin is situated in two states, the main part in Negeri Sembilan, the rest in Melaka. It is the Melaka portion which is known as Pulau Sebang and this station is located within it...

Here's the schedule for the Langkawi Express train (Hatyai - Kuala Lumpur - Gemas).

Here's a schedule which includes other services.

This map shows the actual track mileage at all stations under the Keretapi Tanah Melayu (Peninsular Malaysia railway service). There are practically two main track layout, the north to south Hatyai - KL - Singapura tracks and the central to east Gemas to Tumpat tracks. While both Hatyai and Singapura is situated out of Malaysia, the tracks have been operated by Keretapi Tanah Melayu from as long as I could remember...

Another look at the station...

More schedule.

One last look at the tracks...
