Old mosque of Ampang Pecah revisited.
Soon we entered the town of Kuala Kubu Baru.

Parking the car at one part we started taking a walk.

I must say I love visiting Kuala Kubu Baru. There's a certain quaint atmosphere about this small town...

Making a stop for bargains...

Crossing to another part.

Smelling the flowers. Somehow to me Kuala Kubu Baru got a whiff of the feel of being at the well-known highland station Fraser's Hill of which this town is considered a gateway... but minus the hassle of having to drive a further 30-40 km up the twisting and turning road.

Having lunch, a late lunch. But Kuala Kubu Baru has this extra feel of being like a cross between a Bohemian part of a city and a highland.

By the way when we finished lunch it was already raining cats and dogs.

The obsolute movie theatre which has been turned into a snooker centre. I understand it was the town's only cinema.

Time to get back into the car and continue our journey, heavy monsoon rain notwithstanding...
