The seven wells of Serendah

On to a place in Selangor me and family visited recently.

Just over a week ago we went to Serendah some 6 km from Rawang to look for a waterfall we have never visited. On the way we saw another attraction, the Telaga Tujuh or Seven Wells of Serendah.

I've heard about this place many times before but can't recall if I've ever checked it out.

So why not have a look now?

From the car park we could already see the wells...

I've read somewhere that Serendah was prone to flood. The wells were created to mitigate that.

Yet there are those who believe the wells are frequented by seven princesses from the invisible world!

Anyway the water flows down to some sort of catchment.

See how it flows out from a small dam-like gates?

Then it goes down further to what I think is a former tin-mine lake.
