The first obvious section of Lake Kenyir from the west

We went to the elephant sanctuary for two reasons. To see the elephants and then views of the surroundings we couldn't catch due to the dark the previous night.

In order to do that we have to retrace our steps some 22.5 km from the rest area we slept at. From the map we could see that after the sanctuary there are at least two points where the road is very close to the vast body of water called Tasik (lake of) Kenyir.

There is this part with part of the road closed due to a big landslide.

This is the first part from the east where you can get good view sof Lake Kenyir without being blocked much by the trees.
