The waters just outside the Perlis river mouth

Continued from Lake Banding during dry season.

More than 3 hours later we arrived at the Kuala Perlis ferry terminal where we got the next ferry to the island of Langkawi.

While waiting for the ferry to start I looked around snapping pictures. See the building in the middle? It sits just beside the Perlis river mouth.

River mouth in Malay is called Kuala. So Kuala Perlis means the Perlis river mouth.

The ferry jetty sits a distance outside the river mouth.

Looking to the west one could see the island of Langkawi beckoning from afar...
