Convoy to Pulau Meranti

Next we moved to the west of town and beyond.

The next historical site on the list is situated inside a palm estate, quite far off the main road.

The road inside was narrow while our convoy consisted of around 20 cars.

Nevertheless we managed to reach the site despite one or two cars taking wrong turns and had to be redirected back.

The site lies in the very small rural village of Pulau Meranti.

There is a pair of tombs believed to belong to aristocracy of old Beruas kingdom if not royalty...

I was told that many old relics from the kingdom were found along this area. The focal point are these tombs which some say have obvious mystical aura...

Oh. Forgot to say. As we go along visiting sites shoots were also conducted for a documentary project called "Daulah Melayu" (Malay Sovereignty)...

For the record I am the host and a researcher. The site visits provide good photo opportunity and materials to fill part of the documentary.
