Converging at Johor Lama in traditional Malay attire

Next we went to the Johor Lama jetty situated about 100-200 metres from the mosque.

I've said that we came to this part of the world for a function. There were already a number of people converging here for the function.

Notice how everyone was dressed?

Yep. We all came in traditional Malay attire.

So what function is this you may ask?

Part of the answer lies at the end of the jetty.

See the boat there?

Ah, The wide Johor river felt very welcoming.

Soon, more people in traditional Malay attire showed up.

After some more time we were ready to get on board the boat...
