Continuing from Views from Bukit Tinggi's iconic Jam Gadang.
After visit to Jam Gadang I broke out of the group who were scheduled to return to Malaysia in the afternoon. It's time for me to continue my travel on my own. I spent a bit more time in Bukit Tinggi before getting transport to my next destination.
That destination is the city of Payakumbuh, about 33 km to the east of Bukit Tinggi. Before that the transport, a van went around the eastern part of Bukit Tinggi to look for more passengers.
We passed by what seems to be the city's main bus terminal...
We also passed what looks like a thriving market area...
After some time only we left Bukit Tinggi.
Along the way I could see the 7,000-plus feet high Mount Sago to my right, towards the south that is...
At this juncture I was already in Payakumbuh.
I was in another van, one which serves only the city to get to a certain old mosque...
