Further south we found a ferry service to get across the Chao Phraya river.
We wanted to get to the other side...
It is an area called Thonburi west of the Chao Phraya river...
For the record I am referring to the old historical province of Thonburi before the city of Bangkok was officially founded in 1782 . After some time it was divided into a number of smaller districts. The one we were stepping down into is called Khlong San. Thonburi currently refers to a district to its south.
