Continuing from Tomb of Iskandar Muda, Kandang Meuh and Kandang XII.
At 8 am we arrived at a friend's house to the east of Banda Aceh. On top of the house besides it could be seen a fishermen's boat which has been left stranded for almost 15 years now.
This is the famous boat above house of Banda Aceh.
It was pushed here from the sea by the big waves of the Tsunami of 26th December 2004 which killed more than 200,000 people in Aceh. Our friend was among the 50 or so who survived by climbing up to the boat...
