More on the trip to the north made over a week ago. Continuing from Approaching the top of Lata Kinjang.
Sunday 30th August 2020. After spending a night in the town of Taiping me and wife went out to buy breakfast leaving the kids at our hotel. On the way back to the hotel we passed by the old Taiping mosque and decided to make a stop.
The mosque is more than 120 years old. It is said to be the oldest in Taiping.
Besides it or rather, within its courtyard is a rather big Muslim graveyard.
It houses the graves and tombs of many important personalities of Taiping including noble men and women from the time the mosque was built and opened in the 1890s...
