In the article Fine views from Bukit Tinggi after heavy rain I have mentioned that there were disasters and calamities cause by heavy rain elsewhere (out of the place I lodged at in Bukit Tinggi). This I got to witness firsthand Monday afternoon 20th after leaving that place with the family heading to the East Coast.
The disasters and calamities which was caused by over 2 days of heavy rain Friday and Saturday generally came in the form of flood and landslides. This has cause the East Coast Highway to be closed. Thus one have to take alternative routes to get from the West Coast to the East Coast.
Taking one such alternative route we could soon see aftermath of a flood.
This should be around Lebu in Bentong...
While the flood which rose up to 5-6 feet deep on Saturday have fully subsided it has caused many cars to get submerged.
It had to be left at the roadsides while the drivers and passengers fled to safety...
The flood also left aheavy mud. For the record this is the 2,131th article in this blogspot.
