How the place which gave rise to the name Alor Setar connects to Kedah river

Peace be upon you all. Returning back to the 12-21 January travel.

Thursday morning 19th January 2017. I saw this place while looking for breakfast.

It is stated as the place where the name Alor Setar begins. The word Alor refers to this small river.

\
The word Setar refers to a type of tree which used to stand around here.

Following the small river I could see a big tree but I don't think it is the Setar tree.

The small river flows into a rather big river. Actually the Malay word Alor means ravine. But when filled with water it can become a small river.

Anyway, I thought the bigger river is the Kedah river...

Later did I found out it is actually the Anak Bukit river.

Still it meets the Kedah river just about 370 metres from here. That is to the left in this picture...
